Anyway, I went to Whole Foods about a year ago and ordered a steak on a hanger. This is an excellent, fragrant and tender piece of meat. The vendor asked if I wanted him to hit it with his meat mallet as I wanted to marinate it and I agreed. It was delicious! I kept it on my order list for months and ended up using it for a skirt steak. It was fantastic again. This is a great tool that doesn't shred meat and is easy to clean in the dishwasher. It also keeps well in my kitchen drawers. It's worth it if you want tender meat that will soak up your added flavors.
