I LOVE this backpack! I travel a lot and didn't like taking a large or open bag with me at the airport or on a plane. I was looking for something as roomy as a bag but more anti-theft. It's too easy for someone to take something out of their pocket. The first thing I love about this backpack is the multiple carrying options. There are backpack straps. They are adjustable but not removable. It has a handle so you can carry it in your hand if you want. And it has a detachable shoulder strap if that's what you prefer. The second thing I really like is the size. It's big enough for my big wallet, a book, my iPad, and the basic things I like to take on planes when I travel (e.g. medication, snacks). It's small enough to be lightweight and fit under the seat in front of me on an airplane. I like that I don't have to put it on the top shelf. The third thing I like is the very spacious main compartment. I like that this bag isn't divided into sections so I can easily fit my iPad, book, wallet, etc. in it. Inside there are two small pockets for small items like pens and candies, and it helps to organize things. I also like that this pocket is on the protected side of the backpack. In other words, if I were wearing it as a backpack, that zipper would be well protected in front of my back and not easily accessible for someone to open and grab things. The fourth thing I like is the three accessible zippered pockets on the other side of the backpack. They are quite roomy and I love that I can hide the shoulder strap in one, the chargers and headphones in the other and leave the top one for my passport and tickets for easy and quick access. A downside might be if you are carrying a large water bottle. It has two small side pockets but I think they are more suitable for a phone than a water bottle. I don't see a water bottle that fits in these fountains. They appear to be very well made. I don't see any loose seams. Most seams are single stitched, the seam connecting the back straps and top handle strap is double stitched and triple stitched on each handle. I will update if I encounter any problems but for now I am very happy with this purchase!
