Not very loud in my review

This alarm gives you some peace of mind, but honestly, it's not that loud. It may scare away someone who is looking for a crime of opportunity, but it may not work if you are in a remote area. If it's crowded or there may be people around, it will get some attention. I have a couple of other similar alarms and I've gifted a few to my daughter's friends who are all college age. They are all about the same decibel level. This alarm was easy to charge and needed to be charged right out of the box.
