Review on Stromberg Carlson AM 200 Assist Handle by Jerome Pritchard

Revainrating 5 out of 5

No complaints - handrails

Easy to install. Is working. I can't think of a reason not to give it 5 stars. I mounted it directly over my trailer's existing handlebars, which makes the new "handrail" look a bit high. This was a compromise because I wanted to keep the existing handle in case I was too impatient of taking two seconds to reattach the railing. I also didn't have a good idea how to patch the holes left by the existing handle. If that doesn't bother you, the "right" mounting height for this article could be pretty close to the handlebars of your motorhome. One more placement consideration... I mounted the railing right next to the door frame as I find the mounting screws best in a piece of wood. However, when my awning is extended, my door only opens 90°. With the railing folded down for use, the entrance feels a bit cramped. I wish I could try installing it 2-4 inches further from the door frame. But since there may not be a tree in that area, I may also need to use devices that go completely through the wall of the trailer (according to the instructions).

Pros
  • Best in their niche
Cons
  • Mostly good, but...
