Broke circuit for my old 3 speed 4 wire switch, found this replacement item. Installation was easy and took about 15 minutes: 1. Turn off the electrical switch in the room, swap the color coded wires (stripped to reveal 3-4mm wires)2. Slide the bare end of the wire toward the small notch while gently pressing on the spring plate3. Repeat 4 times (once for each wire) 4. Pull loop of attached chain through hole in fan housing, screw trim cap back onto switch5. Assemble the fan housing and flip the breaker6. Use the new fan speed switch as intended
