Degrades sound quality

This transformer is not even remotely neutral sonically - strange frequency response and different ways in the left and right channels. I experienced a complete loss of bass and mids (&lt;400Hz) in the left channel and an increase in AM radio mids in the right channel. It even made an odd buzz when I rotated the plugs the wrong way. Due to the size of a sample I cannot say for sure if this is a bad product or just poor quality control. Anyway, for me it was a waste of money.
