I have been using Drymate toilet mats for many years, some of my mats are actually almost 10 years old! They don't catch dirt from the paws very well and after a few washes they tend to fluff up a bit, but I buy them for their waterproofness. They fit perfectly in front of the litter box (in case of accidents!), I cut them in half and put them in the bottom of cat carriers (both to keep cats from slipping and to prevent motion sickness in the car), and I have the old ones Carpets donated to local animal shelters when I need new ones. I personally don't care if they fade or roll, their purpose is to crawl under the tray and keep the floor dry and they do a very good job!
