Love the sturdy construction and the extra blades. I also appreciated how the instruction booklet showed how to avoid the pitfalls. The tool setting is simple but necessary. This will prevent damage to the instrument. I use mine for apples and potatoes because I really like meat and fruit pies. I have arthritis in my left hand so this process is much less painful and much faster. Cleaning is easy and common sense will help prevent injury. Oh yes, the suction cup: According to the package insert, it doesn't stick to porous surfaces or silicone mats. Clean both the suction cup and the contact surface with a mild degreaser (Dawn dish soap is best) and warm water to ensure a secure grip.
