Great for hand washing! I use this to clean my steam mopping pads. I also have a neoprene tablecloth (covered with fabric) that often needs to be refined at certain points. Works great to penetrate fabric without fraying or unraveling seams. Both sides of this sponge are great. I chose this one among several others because one side is stiff and the other side is coated with bristle silicone. It's also larger than some other "washers" I've found. Very happy. Will definitely buy again!
