Alternative Energy Battery for MTR-4B V2
Used to provide an alternative energy backup for my new MTR-4B V2. When used with the PowerFilm PF15-300 solar panel, you do not need a battery. A Tx current draw of about 0.8A gives about 20 seconds of transmit time with a smooth voltage range of 12.6V to 11.0V. Series connected 2-6.2V Zener diodes act as shunt regulators to keep the Keep voltage below 12.6V.
