This small piece was part of the aux jack that broke off in the phone! The longer part is the tube that was used to pull everything out! I won't lie, I was shocked it actually worked on the fifth try! I was ready to give up and made another desperate attempt and it really came out! I recommend reading the instructions when you receive them, the shorter tube is thinner and will fit some phones more easily. The long tube is thicker. It didn't fit around the broken auxiliary plug that was stuck inside. I took the tongs, pressed the back and twisted them back and forth over and over until they came out! Perfect purchase at a low price!
