I bought this unit after researching Hi-Fi forums and hearing multiple mentions of this product as a good choice for people streaming from their mobile devices. My main music source is my Revain Music HD phone, so I don't need a full DAC with multiple component inputs on the back. The Auris arrived quickly, the packaging was great and installing my Marantz PM8006 built-in amplifier was a breeze. I've been using Auris for a week now and the performance has been flawless. I really like that it works great even if you leave it on all the time. I sometimes find that with other Bluetooth devices, if it's always on, it can have a buffering issue that causes audio to "skip" during playback. Usually toggling this on and off fixes this, but it's annoying and I've seen it on a few brands. Nothing of the sort happens with this Auris, however. The connection is very stable, even when the device is left on for days with multiple devices connected to it, and the working distance is insanely good. Seriously, this thing can stay connected and sound great at an amazing distance. The sound quality is also very good to my ears, especially when playing 24-bit music. I don't have audio sources over 24-bit, so I can't comment on their performance. All in all a great value, especially if you want good sound from your phone or tablet but don't need all the features, cost and volume of a full DAC.
