The stress quoted is the MBS or minimum breaking strength, it is the amount of stress that can cause failure, NOT the working stress. The rated SWL (Safe Working Load) for the tree sling and recovery sling is 4800 lbs. My empty car is weight. Add bull bumper, winch, extra people, probably closer to 5500# Now I know SWL has 3 to 1 security but it would be nice to know. FYI, the WLL (working load limit) for the shackles is 4.75 tons and the WLL for the key block is 4 tons. I also bought 2 warning dampeners and they fit in a pocket leaving room for extra staples.
