got corrupted 1 star because customer support and documentation is HORRIBLE. They are mostly on their own and use/rely on the user forums for help on the product or on GRBL/Lightburn. This is a very good basic entry-level "beginner" laser, but it does have some issues. At least start with the goods. For the price, this is a great laser for beginners. He can do some really good cuts and burns. Now for the bad. Customer service comes first. Abroad the only support they offer is email and I have sent three emails but still have not received a response to my questions. Very disappointing because after 3 days of use (Mac OS with Lightburn) the laser does not connect. I got the message "laser may be paused or busy" and got no help from support which basically means I have a useless laser. When he works, he works very well with wood. The product is simple and easy to set up, engraves and cuts wood very well. But I have to disagree that this laser is capable of engraving acrylic. This is a light laser diode and the light/laser just goes through the acrylic and burns whatever is underneath the acrylic. Acrylic will NOT be engraved. I tried contacting the support department to see what settings they recommend but again got no response. So I'll give it another week and if I don't get an answer I'll return this product. Update: The tolerances of this laser are very poor. When you start cutting/engraving and find you need to change power and speed settings, they "drift" and don't start from the same starting point. I've posted a picture of the grid layout I meant to take for reference, but running it a second time you can see the lines are offset by 1mm.
