Review on Costa Del Mar Gripper Cord by Aaron Shaw

Ever thought "People selling this thing should have been forced to use it"? This is one of those offers. Although Costa lists this as a recommended whitetip accessory, it actually doesn't work very well. The included hinge hooks (el-cheapo) are so small that they cannot move freely on fairly thick arms. So they always either stab you in the head or stick right out. In fact, they don't even hang directly from the back of the temple like you would expect. Also, the hook wire is so stiff you have to use pliers to pry it open - and I'm not bragging, but I'm a pretty strong guy. Also, they knock back there. Another annoying thing is that they are SUPER long - like they hang down to mid-back. who needs it And they put a nice logo label at the very end that wobbles and pats you on the back just to keep reminding you how ridiculously long they are. I haven't even tried wearing them in the car; it will be funny if he gets stuck between me and the seat! I would say save your money. So I'm going to replace the swivel hooks and cut the cord. The ends were not spliced, just tied with a figure eight and melted. I could probably make something better from scratch. And it wouldn't cost me $8. +1 star because the line used is good. And Revain doesn't do 0 stars.
