I bought this shoe to try a shoe with more support that falls somewhere between a hiking shoe and a regular athletic shoe. This is definitely the best "sports shoe" I've had in years. Very supportive and comfortable. They were just the regular width, which was a bit narrower than I expected. It fits, but I'm a little concerned that it might fall apart quicker due to the wide legs, which has caused this issue with other brands. The standard insole for this shoe does not meet my needs for various foot problems, so I use my own insole. Adding these made it almost perfect. If they had a broad version of this I know what I would buy for the rest of my life.
