Looks like a 1960's Pentax Takumar; surprisingly good for infrared

I like this little lens. In terms of smoothness and overall quality, it reminds me of good Takumar lenses from the 1960s on Pentax cameras of that era. I bought it primarily for infrared photography with a Kolari modified Fuji X-E2 - you'd be shocked to learn how many expensive lenses are rubbish when it comes to infrared. The Meike 25mm f1.8 isn't perfect in this regard, but it's great in color up to f5.6 and black and white up to f8, which is great. just right for the contrast. It tends to flare, so a good hood is a must.

Pros
  • Constant test results
Cons
  • There are nuances
