As mentioned, the hardest part was removing the old lock cylinder. The key must be in the ACC position to remove it. I tried squirting lube in the keyhole but I don't think it helped. I ended up removing the screw from the back of the switch where the connector is. I thought I could take it apart from the back. I couldn't take it apart but while under the dash removing the screw I tried to turn the key and it went to the ACC position. I think it has something to do with removing the screw and trying to pull the back of the cylinder out, or maybe I just got lucky at that point. I haven't tried the hair dryer trick as someone else mentioned, but I probably would have kept going. I haven't tried taking the cylinder apart to tie it to my door key. I could try that later. By the way, don't waste your time replacing Dorman either. I did this about a year ago and it had already failed and when it failed it left me stranded. The OEM failed, but it will work after some key fumbling. Dorman gave me the money back, so that was good. This one has a blue ring of light around the key while the Dorman was just a regular white light. I'm not sure the blue color goes that well with the Sonota 07 dashboard, but I don't care as long as it works. Let's see how long this OEM lasts. If you have trouble putting it back in, make sure it's in ACC mode and just look at the underside of the cylinder and compare where the actual switch is in the cylinder bore. You can use a large screwdriver or similar and start the car without the cylinder if you need a detour.
