If you're thinking of adding this to your old home, think about it. Sometimes they don't fit in the metal boxes that were used in the past. The code did not require all metal junction boxes to be a specific size to accommodate these new outlets built as they are now. If your house was built before 1970 like mine was, you may have trouble getting the wiring behind the outlet housing. However, it works great in my new house, built in the late 70's. And it WORKS GREAT in this house. My advice: check the box before installing. If he accepts this newer fork then it's definitely worth installing.
