This converter is great for standard DP to HDMI video conversion. If you want to use this with a multi-monitor setup where you have more display ports than HDMI, this works fine. I've noticed that the DP output is full and the black screens aren't completely black, but I'm pretty sure that's not a problem with this item. I use nVidia products. GTX 970, GTX 980, GTX 1070 and RTX 2080 so I fixed most of the issues. However, if you plan to use this for a VR headset like the HTC Vive (like me), it won't work. I probably should have known more about this, but the VR headset doesn't work at all through this converter. You must connect your VR headset directly to the HDMI port. Maybe others are lucky. I tried several graphics cards (see above) and the VR headset does not work through this converter. However, standard display applications are processed without any problems.
