This product replaces a broken handle and/or cap on a Delta shower faucet. . My broken lid, from a shower installed circa 2000, had "KIP 7355 2" embossed on the inside. The part that broke off was the tab on the inside of the lid. This cover fitted snugly over the existing "handle" which was not broken. The handle, I believe, is the part that screws into the faucet. It says "don't overtighten the screw". Although it also comes with a new handle, I haven't removed my old one. This chrome-colored plastic cap snaps directly onto your existing Delta Grip without unscrewing anything. A piece of cake. see less
