If I weren't so embarrassed and ashamed of how poorly I take care of my teeth, I would post a photo to prove it, but I'm not that brave. But you can also try it yourself and let yourself be surprised. So I have a metal bar behind my bottom front teeth to keep them from moving (I have braces). So a lot of plaque/tartar is always attracted to it and stays there. I have YEARS molded on my teeth. I mean 14 years of hard, disgusting tartar that wouldn't come off. I've already tried scraping it off and nothing. It was like a hard bone and fused with my teeth. I honestly gave up because I didn't have dental insurance and was too broke. So I saw this and thought no amount of mouthwash would remove it. No way! But, oh, IT DOES! Remember this is used BEFORE you brush your teeth. That's what you do if you have severe tartar like me. Buy this and rinse your mouth vigorously for 30 seconds to a minute (the longer the better), especially in the area where tartar is heavier. Spit out until NOT rinse and brush. Grab a dental kit with one of those metal picks you might see in a dentist's office, and then you can scrape/chip that tartar like nothing! It becomes so soft that with a little patience and perseverance you can remove it completely. After that, if you chipped it, brush your teeth and rinse them with water. Once you use Plax it almost falls apart! I was shocked! I've had hard tartar for 14 years from the first day I used this thing! I wish I knew sooner because my gums are so bad where the plaque used to be. But at least I don't have that stuff in my mouth anymore. My mouth feels much better and cleaner.
