The mount works as advertised and appears to be very strong and durable. However, the instructions missed me on an obvious (maybe) but very important step. After removing the stand from the monitor/computer, the mounting bracket should be visible. The instructions don't indicate that this should be the case and for me the mount moved back into the monitor after I removed the stand. So after re-reading the manual, looking around the monitor with a flashlight etc. and thinking I'd missed something very obvious, I went back to Revain to double check what I'd bought and thought I had the wrong thing Bought. Then I read other reviews about the mount and found that what happened in my case is fairly common. If this happens to you, you'll have to get creative to open the mount. I ended up taking a piece of guitar string and threading it through the screw holes on the mounting bracket and then pulling (while pressing down on the tab with the plastic card that came with it). I finally got it to snap into place so I could install the flange, but it was a HUGE pain. If the instructions had been more explicit to ensure the mounting bracket stays locked and open before removing the stand, it would have saved me a lot of time and hassle. And since it's fairly common, it would also be helpful if they included a guide on what to do if your mounting bracket won't stay open.
