I guess I'm an old man. I don't want to adapt to new technologies. I built a serious computer in 2009 and it's been 12 years and I'm still using it. He's still quick to me, which tells me I'm either slowing down or he's speeding up. Anyway, I like the X58 chipset. It's convenient for me. But one thing I've always hated is the little plastic snaps for typical LGA 1366 cooler configurations. It mounts UNDER the motherboard and provides you with METAL MOUNTING POINTS for the cooler. And this cooler works fine. The idle temperature has dropped from 50 to 38. Gaming temp has dropped from 70 to 50 and 55 C MAX since install. I'm a very lucky tourist. Combined with the Innovation Cooling IC Graphite Thermal Pad (30mm x 30mm) it was a great combination that I will use again and again.
