I bought this Orbi to improve reception in my house because the Direct TV signal strength was poor. Orbi has been a problem since day one, but I blamed it on Direct TV. My TV has temporarily stopped receiving a WiFi signal. A technician from Direct TV came to my house twice in the last 3 months. Each time they wanted to charge me $99.95 per visit. Each time the man was at my house for almost 2 hours. The first type was useless. I used to have problems with my service so they sent a technician to my house. He recommended I buy a Netgear Orbi system. I bought this system on his advice. I received and installed it and it worked fine for a couple of weeks or a month. Then I started losing my Netflix signal. This happened 3 times and each time caused me to miss duty days, but the duty manager was eventually able to reset from Direct TV HQ. Eventually he died again and they sent technicians. He fixed it but it stopped after a few weeks. I have a friend who is a computer engineer by trade. He came to my house, reinstalled everything and spent 2 hours to finally get everything working again. That lasted a few weeks and then the same problem. Direct TV sent another guy over here and he couldn't get it to work. It ended up sharing my wired computer with Orbi and my other non-Orbi wireless devices. it just started up again and we determined that the issue is related to Netgear ORBI. Now I just found out there is only a 60 day grace period to get it back. I'll just throw it away. Don't buy this junk if you use Direct TV. It is incompatible and the warranty is worthless. It might work with another service, but don't risk your money. I'll call Revane in the morning to see what they can do for me. Class F+.
