The CD is a relic from a bygone era but children still enjoy creating books on film (or rather CD). It's easy for them to paste it and hit the play button. With that in mind I originally bought this for my daughter who is too young to read and I figured she could do it on her own. Owned less than 6 months as it broke. Very bad quality. Obviously not many CD players are made these days so your options are pretty limited. You will have to look for another brand but I would advise you to stay away from this model.
