Review on DeLonghi DC55TCW Coffeemaker Timer White by Tony Beale

I don't drink coffee myself but seeing what my husband has gone through to keep the coffee hot I agree with other reviewers this Delonghi is Dewrongi. The husband has to boil water in a kettle to preheat the carafe before brewing. If he does not have the opportunity to drink it immediately, he puts the pot (filled with coffee) on the stove over low heat. A few days ago we were both in a hurry to take the kids to school and work. Without thinking, he put the carafe on the stove, but must have accidentally turned it on high. Next thing I know I'm screaming from the kitchen as the carafe is on fire and the flames are quickly spreading 2 feet. He poured a pot of cold water over him and, hallelujah, there was no injury. (We're so lucky that in a few months we'll be selling our house. After reading other reviews I'm no longer looking for a replacement carafe, I'm buying him a brand new car instead. and it won't be Delonghi. .
