My husband and I decided to treat ourselves and buy a Berkey filter after trying his sister's Big Berkey water a few months ago. We are absolutely amazed at Berkey's ability to filter all contaminants from our tap water. Now our drinking water literally tastes like NOTHING. We've even noticed that our dog is drinking more water since we switched to Berkey! I hated using the Brita filter as I thought it didn't filter very well and we spent a lot of money on replacement filters. Although the Crown Berkey is quite expensive, what convinced us was the fact that the filters last for years instead of weeks. We were concerned that the crown would be too big for our tiny home as it's about 3ft tall, but it fits easily in a corner on a small bookshelf we bought from Target. Remember that the faucet on the filter is very low, so you'll need to mount it on something that allows easy access to the faucet.
