I needed a Lenovo T510 to my Dell connect 24" monitor. The monitor has an HDMI connector and the laptop has a DisplayPort connector. I used a standard VGA connector and even at high resolution the images were fuzzy. I bought this cable to fix that Improving the picture.The pictures are much sharper and cleaner with this connection and I can finally use a high resolution monitor.I spend a lot of time on my computer both at work and at home so it was worth the purchase and the price was great too.I couldn't even find that kind of cable in big retail stores.I've had a few instances where the monitor resolution went nac h changed to a different resolution after closing and opening the lid of the laptop. A little annoying and I haven't seen it around with the old VGA connector. But that's not a deal breaker for me. Overall I am satisfied with this purchase.
