Sizes listed are not always correct

I have bought 3 of these sleeves. I bought the first one 6 months ago for my iPad, solid black. My iPad, including the case, fits perfectly. I have just bought 2 more colored cases for my grandchildren's new iPads. The iPad doesn't fit in my sleeves unless I remove the protective covers, which is crazy. The weird thing is that my iPad doesn't fit in these cases either, although it does fit in the black one I already have. Thus it is obvious that the sleeves are not the same size, although the sizes given are the same. Did you send me the wrong size? I don't know, I find it very confusing and I am returning them as they are of no use to me.
