Review on ๐Ÿ“ท Wasserstein Gutter Mount for Ring, Arlo, Blink, Reolink Cameras & Solar Panels - 1 Pack, Black by Jason Taylor

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Don't believe all the bad reviews.

I have read all the negative reports that this product does not live up to expectations. I bought one to make sure they are accurate. They were wrong on a number of issues. Here's what I found: The clip to attach to the back of the solar panel is perfect for the RING solar panel. I installed it when it was cool, not very hot, which causes the plastic to expand. The mount rotates (the ring mount does not rotate) so the panel can be rotated to optimize sunlight exposure. The mounting screws are a little short and require a block of wood to really attach them to the gutter. However, two self-tapping screws secure it better (not included). If you don't want to screw into the gutter, take some colored pencils, cut them and use them to fix better. You can buy longer screws to reach the metal to hold it. The plastic base that holds the solar panel bracket has four small screws in the plastic base. If you want the solar panel to face up you will need to remove those four screws, rotate the bracket over the shaft bracket and reinstall the screws. It's plastic so be very careful (do not use a screwdriver. ONLY hand tighten (tight)! After installation you can rotate the base for optimal exposure. This base would be much better if it was metal instead would be made of plastic. Mine is worried a gust of wind might break it after months of roasting in the hot sun. Overall, it's much better than the RING mount that comes with the RING Spotlight Camera. Reviews of the solar panel mount were wrong. It fits perfectly It rotates The mounting screws can be a bit longer but there are workarounds for that If you want to mount the solar panel on the gutter for better exposure, try this bracket.
