I don't know what all the fuss is about. The bracket gives you the option of mounting it to the gutter either by mounting it as it comes out of the box or by turning it over and unscrewing the pivoting bracket that attaches to the back of the solar panel and it to the other screw side. You may need some sort of padding (a paint stirrer will probably do the trick, as another reviewer mentioned). I used it with a Reolink solar panel. Low profile which is good but limits rotation as the platen hits the slide. In this case I was able to mount it facing south, so all I have to do is adjust the angle and it works. The screws are finely threaded and took forever to tighten.
