Good quality. Replacement in the 2003 Ford Escape is a bit trickier. The included instructions weren't bad, but I'd suggest looking for a step-by-step video on YouTube. This filter is quite durable and has a layer of activated carbon. I'm not sure how much this will help, but it seems to have helped remove the musty smell from my wife's Escape. It took me about 20 minutes to complete the exchange. I'm sure next time I can do it faster. I think the dealer wanted $200 for this procedure.
