A real improvement over the original silicone tips for me. The Comply sizing was accurate (I had 3 packs of the same size) and the Comply tips fit well without being uncomfortable. The Airpods also feel a lot more secure in my ear with them on. Insulation is great and better sealing improves sound quality, especially bass. I don't find them any more uncomfortable to use than silicone tips, but you have to pinch them before you put the Airpods in your ear and the foam takes about 5 seconds to expand. So are there any disadvantages? Fit is really important; I've used the wrong size Comply earbuds with other headphones and they can be quite uncomfortable if you oversize. It's nice that you can try them in a pack of all three sizes, but that also means you're paying $20-$25 for the first pair, which is ridiculous. These are the 2.0 versions that will snap and work. They just aren't as safe as the original silicone tips; They didn't accidentally detach either, so maybe that's not a problem. Finally, getting the Airpods out of the case with the foam tips is a bit more difficult. Silicone tips make them easy to unscrew (which is why Apple changed the case orientation compared to the original Airpods); it's not that easy with these foam tips. In general, I do not regret that I took them.
