Review on 40124 Bayou Classic - 24-Quart Aluminum Stockpot with Steam and Boil Basket - Versatile All Purpose by Kevin Campos

I am very happy with this pot. The pot (24 liters) was not too big to use on the stove. The handles on the sides of the pot and the handle of the basket were solid and didn't bend at all. He warmed up quickly. He stayed hot and showed no sign of weakness. The pot is aluminum so it was very light until I put all the seafood and water in it. This made it much easier to unload the basket and clean the pot. I forgot that the handles get as hot as the pot (even the lid handle). As soon as I was reminded of this with a quick burn in my flesh, I used oven mitts. This did not affect my experience with this pot in the slightest. I steamed 2 pounds of shrimp, emptied the basket, let the water sit, then steamed 3 pounds of snow crab legs, emptied the basket, let the water sit, then cooked about 30 oysters. Everyone turned out great. I couldn't be happier. The water was boiling all the time. The pot has never swayed. The pot is aluminum so I will most likely buy a steel one, but it will definitely be from this company. This is the perfect pot for beginners (like me) who want to learn how to cook seafood themselves. My next step is a larger stainless steel pot with a propane burner! Luckily this company has it all!
