Review on π VW/Audi Bose Integration Radio Wiring Harness 70-1787 for Metra (1993-2007) by Victor Anderson
The wiring on the harness was wrong, had to rearrange the wires to make it work.
When I bought this and hooked it up to my 2000 Audi A4 with Bose stereo there was no sound. I was disappointed to say the least. After checking and double checking my wiring, I found that the wiring harness was not assembled properly. The pins for the pre-out were in the wrong place on the audio side of the wire harness. I had to take them out and put them back in the right places in the red harness for them to work properly. It's not that bad if you have the right tools, but it still hurts that I bought them wrong.
