Review on Vetoquinol 417358 Epakitin, 180g: Premium Kidney Support Supplement for Optimal Pet Health by Sabrina Hardy

My dog and I were told he had 138 rolls on 01/28/22 (normal was 7-25). The phosphorus index was 9.8 (norm 2.9-6.6). Initially, starting 2/3/22, I gave him a weight-adjusted serving of Epakitin twice a day, along with Kidney Restore and Kidney Shield, also available from Revain. I also did daily healing work with applied kinesiology and the disease diagram of Dr. Reik Gerd Hamer (New German Medicine) to identify and change organ dysfunction. I checked the blood again at another vet on 2/8/22 and the BUN score dropped to 61 and the Phosphorus score to 8.1. That's a huge improvement in just 5 days. I'm not sure which of these 3 elements (epakitin, kidney shield/repair and/or cure) helped, but they did. Unfortunately my dog decided to stop eating a few days after the 2/8 blood test and he was sent back to heaven on February 14th to avoid suffering and pain from continued weight loss. I did not give him supplemental Epakitin after 2/8/22 because he stopped eating and the vet said to take it with food only to bind the phosphorus in the food (although I mixed it well with water twice and gave him gave slowly in the mouth, with 3 attempts). The can doesn't say to feed him food only, and the vet may have got it wrong. If anyone knows the answer, please feel free to post it. I will share more about the Kidney Shield and Kidney Restore products in my reviews for each of these products. Will I use this product again? The answer is yes!
