Review on πŸ‘œ Lacis 11-Inch Hardwood Purse Bead Loom: A Must-Have for Bead Enthusiasts! by Gelin Battle

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great loom for the price especially if you are new to the loom and expanding your skills.

I've just started learning beading and this loom is an improvement over the first type I bought (where the warp threads are wound onto pins at each end and run through a spring spacer). Larger projects can be done, and beads of almost any size and shape can be used, as warp threads are wound onto a "starter set" of beads that are attached to the frame and then removed when work begins. The thread tension is easily adjustable. It is very important to be careful and patient when building the base and attaching the first rows of beads can take a long time, but after that the work seems to go much faster. than on any other machine. If you are working with a very long piece (belt or strap), the warp threads can be twisted around the edges of the frame, allowing you to bead the entire chain. A word of caution: plan ahead for a few small things with the same count of warp threads to avoid wasting thread. This may not be an issue if your filament is cheap, but some filament materials are more expensive and a waste. This is only the second type of loom I've tried. There is a method of weaving paper clips or hooks, as a result of which deformation loops do not form at the ends. I have drilled two metal rods with small holes in each end and will be attaching them to this loom soon (I will be drilling small holes in the frame so the stem can be nailed in place and removed when not in use) so I will try this 'clip' can. "Technology is coming soon. The wood of this loom is very strong and should stand up to experimentation. If it works, this loom could be even more versatile than it is now.
