Forget looks. Protect your back!

Many people complain that the dishes look ugly or too aggressive. Let me just say that suspension saves lives (and backs) and is my number one priority. I have a busty medium tall woman and it fits perfectly so I don't think the fit will be an issue for most people. I am a nature and adventure photographer and have been using Black Rapid straps for years. Yes, they look great and are easy to slip on and off, but if you're not looking through the viewfinder your camera will bounce next to you and bounce against it including your hips and thighs (and I often get tangled in a dog leash!) What the heck As for the clip from Peak Design, it's great, but doesn't fit on my large backpack strap, plus it weighs a lot on a strap (and also askew) for a long, heavy lens attached to your camera. So I bought the Cotton Carrier G3 for three reasons: 1) comfort/ergonomics 2) camera protection 3) portability/freedom. The product is VERY well made and durable. Thoughtful details have been added, such as a rain cover with quick access to the camera and phone pocket, and a stretch mesh pocket on the back where you can store a rain cover or a small water bottle. I like this harness because it WORKS and feels, not how it looks (although I really don't think it looks bad). I often carry my Shimoda camera backpack on my back with the cotton strap and it's super comfortable - it actually helps balance the load nicely! If you shoot hands-free all day and don't want to worry about your camera bumping into things, keep your back and neck healthy and make the $120 investment worth it in my opinion.
