The shut off feature is not very good as the initial surge shuts down the pump. If you set it high to miss the splash, you'll have to turn it off manually. I expected that. The final pressure won't match the car's reading, but as long as it's stable, don't worry. It's good in an emergency or for inflating inflatable sports balls, pool toys, etc. Battery life is good so far.
