, I use a kitchen scale to prepare draft coffee for accuracy and consistency. I was tired of changing the batteries in my old scale so I was looking for something rechargeable. I considered a kinetic charger instead of a battery, but reviews have shown that it doesn't even last 2 minutes. It has a 5 minute auto shut off and every time the weight on the scale changes it restarts the clock. That's pretty much all the time it takes me to brew coffee in a Chemex, so I figured this would be perfect for my needs. PROS: - That's right. I haven't found enough variance in its accuracy to complain and it agrees with the measurements. It doesn't take up much space. This was important to me since I use it in the office - Rechargeable battery. I can stop wasting batteries on a scale they used to burn out in a month. CONS: - I think the units are a bit unorthodox. I don't know why I even needed to measure the difference between water and milk, but there is a setting for that. The instruction manual isn't very well translated into English, but I think that was a predictable inevitability. It's still so easy to use that it's not a deal breaker. Overall I would say this is a pretty good buy for the price. I am considering getting another one for my kitchen at home.
