I just love it on the belt. Especially if you're in a tiny toilet stall and you're wearing a lot of clothes because it's -5 outside. Why don't ski resorts make these stands bigger? Either way, it stays great even if you spend half a day sliding on your butt. They sit great over ski boots and look good in them. My only criticism is the position of the zip pocket on the leg. Somewhere you need ID, money and a cell phone, and this bag is right where the knee bends. I'm 5ft 8" and it hit me in the knee. So if you're facing a vertical challenge, you'll need to find a better hiding spot.
