🔧 Silicone Caulking Finishing Tool Kit Review

I'm just adding boards and battens to my walls so I use this kit a lot! The tools are high quality and I highly recommend this set!

I have purchased several other caulking tools in the past. It actually withstood my entire 1500 square foot kitchen and bathroom makeover quite well. feet

All these parts look solid and have lots of hardware and stuff. No guide on how best to use it all. I've been doing DIY for 40 years - how do I best use all these details? I will take the kit and amend the rating as needed.

This product does what it promises but the quality is very poor. The gasket remover is very blunt and it takes a lot of effort to push it through anything but the oldest, loose gasket. I've tried sharpening it a bit but in the end a good sharp razor is still the easiest and probably best fix.

I decided to fresh caulk all my 2 bathrooms and it worked pretty well removing the old stuff and creating a nice even coat with the new. I didn't get replacement blades, a part I used a lot, and they look like they were specific to this tool. Can't be bought individually either. It wasn't the cheapest nor the most expensive of these tools, so I think I got my money's worth.

All of these tips need to be attached to a standard seal tube, so why are some tips tiny and others huge? Only "medium-sized" tips that fit easily are really useful. It's like they were made for something else but sold for that purpose. Also, no instructions are included so you can easily figure it out if you are new to these tools.

It takes me a long time to fix almost everything I've found this set and wanted to try. I wasn't disappointed, it's basically the part that was missing from my previous hunts. I tried this one where I was patching my new outdoor lights and wow this not only smooths out straight lines but also corners. Many sizes and the best edging tool. No cons, works great, very happy with the purchase.

I bought this a few months ago because I couldn't find one that I bought from Home Depot a few years ago to re-caulk my bathroom and have just used it now. So the return window is gone, but I would bring it back if I could. The sealer remover is terrible. It's not narrow enough to slip easily between the seams of the tub and remove the sealant. The emboss smoothing tool is just as bad. The head is not narrow enough to get into the corner and smooth the putty. I would not recommend this product.
