After installation, there was a constant error that the cartridges were missing or not found. I followed all installation instructions. I did not touch the microcircuits and was very attentive to their correct installation. I always got the same error. I contacted the manufacturer and they told me the problem is that every HP update causes the microchip in the Smart Ink cartridge to not work properly. Therefore, HP guarantees that you must purchase genuine HP inks. The tech who helped me with Smart Ink told me that I would have to cancel my updates from HP in order for the microchip (in Smart Ink) to work. I didn't want to do it because who knows what other problems it will cause. So they suggested I send a Smart Ink with updated chips. I have them and I still get the same error. My Opinion: Skip Smart Ink and just get Original HP inks or another printer that allows you to use other brand inks. What a headache and now I have no money for Smart Ink.
