This spoon is very strong and will not bend no matter how hard the ice cream is. The grip is very comfortable - it feels good in the hand and provides a good grip when applying a lot of force on hard ice. The scoop will roll your ice cream into nice round balls when you push it into the ice cream. There was obviously a lot of real engineering in the design, and it shows. This is a really great ice cream scoop and worth every penny you pay for it.
