The quality of most well-known brands (Moden, Kholer, Delta, etc.) of lamp manufacturers has deteriorated sharply in recent years. Got this to replace a new Moen spout that dripped right out of the box and was cheap and flimsy. A bit annoying considering a set costs over $100. Being able to avoid threaded fasteners was nice. It is not necessary to ideally place the pipe to avoid a gap. I paired this with a redesigned Danco nose ring and it goes together perfectly. has created a beautiful and fully sealed bathtub spout for less than $20.
