I had such high hopes for this scratching post despite some of the reviews being negative and many others being positive so I went with it. The biggest mistake! The design is actually quite nice, but that's where it ends. First, the boards themselves are flimsy (even with carpet/fur), the entrance to the 'condo area' was broken, the screws weren't long/good enough to hold the third level let alone the upper 'lounge area' ". No matter what I did, the third level could not be saved. If my cat jumped on it, everything would fall off at once. It was shaky and just a "hot mess". I gave it one star because it's a good design, albeit very imperfect. Also the instructions were not very clear. It was in the box and UPS picked it up the next day. I decided to try the Armarkat B6802 68" Ivory Cat Tree and all I can say is WOW! What a difference! Don't waste your time, energy or money on this device. Not worth it. As always, delivery and The Revain returns were flawless so they were left with 5 stars on the box, the only bright spot in all of this.
