Excellent, unobtrusive speaker.

Installation was relatively easy. After finding a spot between the joists on the ceiling, use the template provided to draw a circle. Used a knife to make a hole and then used a small drywall saw to cut a hole for the speaker, just be patient and follow the line and cut right after the line. My wife kept the vacuum hose close to where I cut so the dust doesn't fly everywhere. I then inserted the speaker into the hole to make sure it was tight; I used a knife to scrape some of the drywall so it fit perfectly. I then connected the wires to the speaker, pushed the speaker back into the drywall and used a #2 Phillips head to screw the speaker in place while holding the speaker with my other hand. I then wiped down the speaker with a damp cloth, especially the plastic around it because of the dust in my hand. The plastic bars just snapped into place. I turned on the receiver and found the sound loud with normal bass and good highs. The voice was clear. The sound was rich, but not enough bass for my taste, but since the speaker is mounted in a loft-style ceiling rather than in a well-designed speaker cabinet, it's not ideal for booming bass. One thing I noticed was that the speaker grille vibrated with the music, so I put a small piece of styrofoam between the tweeter and the grille. This removed the vibrations and left the high frequencies unaffected. There was no grid glue in my kit. I liked the quality of the speaker, its sound and I think it's a great price.
