I used a 32GB Kangaroo Flashblu30 drive as my Ubuntu boot drive on my computer. I have used several other Ubuntu USB sticks. With this flash drive, it takes about 15 minutes to download and update, which normally only takes about 10 seconds! I am writing this review as the Kanguru Flashblu30 32GB drive undergoes a major Ubuntu upgrade. The progress bar is at 21% after running for about an hour. This is an update that may take 1-2 minutes with other USB 3.0 drives. A read speed of 145 megabytes per second is specified. Considering the very slow boot time most of the time reading from a flash drive, I find this very hard to believe. *IF* their read speed estimate is correct, the write speed must be horribly low (as evidenced by how long it takes for my update). Buyer warning! A NOTICE. I bought 4 drives of the same type before testing them to use as boot drives for Ubuntu OS. Now that I know how slow they are I need to find another way to use them.
