What about the pet box? It works. Well I can tell you more. I bought this to use as an anchor to anchor my outdoor stored gas grill. So for me the main requirement is safety, it has to be securely fixed in the ground and the metal has to be strong enough not to break out as the top "triangle" has an open space and is not welded. I took the ring off, not needing it, and buried my own almost to the top of the handle. From unscrewing the metal holding the ring, the metal is very strong, it took a lot of effort to remove, although the thin "chrome" plating broke into small pieces without much effort. I dug mine in so only about 1 inch of the top triangle sticks out. I'm pretty sure it's impossible to get it out without screwing it back in, so it's very reliable. I even tried to pull it out with enough tab to use the ring (which I had already removed) and it secured very well. It took quite a bit of work to get it all the way in, I used the jack handle as leverage to turn it the last few inches and it didn't crack or bend. Metal in general Ok, that's all I can say about it. I'm happy with that.
